Provide Youth and Young Adults the opportunity to take control of their own housing needs by equipping them with tools for success including—but not limited to—Community, Advocacy, Resources, Education, and Equity. We are committed to offering every participant the highest form of respect, dignity, loyalty, and honesty.
Our Approach
At NYUMBANI, our mission is carried out through five core pillars:
- Community Building: Creating safe, affirming spaces for connection and healing.
- Advocacy: Elevating the voices of those with lived experience and influencing policy change.
- Resources: Offering access to housing navigation, basic needs, mentorship, and more.
- Education: Providing workshops, training, and life skills to foster independence.
- Equity Work: Addressing systemic issues that impact marginalized communities.
